• Hello! I’ve been very busy with all the Hari Raya preparations. Yesterday, being the eve of Raya, was hectic. It’s always the eve of this festive season that we have to be jam-packed with household chores from cooking a number of dishes like Rendang, Soto, Satay and it’s gravy, to cleaning/wiping every corner of the house and vacuuming the whole house so we can put down the carpets. Fuhh.

So yesterday, after performing jemaah Maghrib prayers, like every other years, we would recite takbir together. But unlike previous years, this year, my father and my brother used a microphone to takbir. I was wondering why the microphone since we are a just family of five (now). In the middle of the takbir, (and in the middle of us sobbing), I then realised - they were actually practising for this morning’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri prayers, in case they were given a microphone, which would be passed around in the mosque, to recite takbir, especially this year the MUFTI and Ministers would be praying at Al Khair.

I didnt get to go this year. :(

Anyway, to all Muslims in the world, wishing you a Happy Eid Mubarak. Forgive me for all my wrongdoings, knowingly or unknowingly. Oh and don’t forget to exercise moderation, okay!

Leaving you with a photo of the Raya cookies that I’ve baked. Happy raya! :)
